From the article 15 Qualities of Mentally Tough People the first thing I found I need to work on is "...yet they don't dwell on mistakes" this explains how on you pay attention to the negatives in your life it tends to bring you down creating stress and negative emotions. I often tend to do this, I'll constantly think of what's wrong and what's going on in life. I don't usually tend to give myself a break from thinking about all the negatives. To fix this the article talks about how I could focus on actions on how to better myself, this will then cause a more positive outlook on life and for my well being. Another saying I like is "they're relentlessly positive" this talks about how you shouldn't focus your attention and effort into the things that you can't control. I tend to over worry about things that I have no control over, I think I would be a lot happier if I didn't over worry everything. Try to focus on positive attention and effort into things you can control to make you a happier and more positive person. Something I'm good at can be described from the article as "...and they don't limit the joys of others" this explains how everyone deserves to be given a chance, not to pass judgement onto others. I feel like I am pretty good at giving everyone a fair chance that they deserve, everyone should get treated right by everyone, but since that doesn't happen each individual that is nice to someone may have a huge impact on that persons life.
Mike Ilicth was a very important and a man with a huge impact. One of the very important things I think he did was followed his heart, the article "Mike Ilitch loves his teams as much as we do" talks about how timing wasn't right when Mike made his purchases but he did it regardless of what others said, and now look how it turned out. People there's always going to be a downside to decisions that you have to make, but you won't find out how it ends unless you go for it. Mike always followed his dreams, he didn't necessarily want to own the baseball team but he did it, he did it because since he was a kid he always had a passion for baseball. Buying the team gave him the chance to change what he thought was wrong and make sure the teams were up to standards, not just because they were good at what they did but because they were loyal people as well. It's always important to follow your dreams, it may be hard or stressful but in the end it's worth it. It can impact your life and your happiness big time. Lastly, Mike cared so much about others. He said his number one priority when buying what he did was his fans, many people care so much about themselves now days and don't take the time to appreciate others. You have to put yourself first in situations, but you also have to know how to put others first and know what is best for them.
Two of the most important life essentials from a article "A Good Life Contains These 6 Essentials" by Jim Rohn are good friends and don't miss anything. Good friends are always beyond important. Good friends can become family overtime and always have impacts on your life. There's some positive and even the negative but overtime you find out the type of friends that you get along with most, but it's still always nice to meet new people. Jim mentions how we have mutual and casual friends, both are great to have and I agree. Every type of friend you have, especially ones who have a positive impact is what makes the good impact on your life. Don't miss anything, I never really thought about it however, I really like how Jim puts it. He says you should take every opportunity, and "if you live well, you learn well". Jim talks about how his dad takes every chance he had to go out and do what he could. I never really thought about it but I think it's a good idea, the more you do the more lessons you learn and the more you have to tell stories about. I think I should focus on being more adventurous. Jim Rohn was an American entrepreneur, author and a very motivational speaker. He was born in Washington and died in California. He shared his ideas for over 46 years and died at age 79.
Zig Ziglar says that "Attitude Makes All the Difference". After watching the video it really helped me to think about various situations where this proves to be true, probably mostly all situations. I liked how he talked about when you're about to lose something how you tend to see the value then. I just know so many people around me who take so much for granted and then get upset when they're about to lose what they have. It's easy to take things for granted without any thoughts when you're doing it, just like it's easy to be upset when you lose it. I think sometimes I take advice for granted. Sometimes I get good advice and I'll just blow it off, but then later down the road I'll be thinking that the advice has such a big impact and I should follow it more. Another thing is he talked about how you should pay attention to the positives more than the negatives. It's constantly so easy to be negative, being negative doesn't take effort really, being positive doesn't have to either if you just change your mind set. I'm thankful to have a teacher who constantly is reminding me to stay positive. I'm always cranky it seems like, but after talking it definitely can make a huge difference to remind me why I should be positive. It's not like for my whole life I can always be positive, but I always realize especially in high school I get so negative about things that turn out fine.
