One thing I need to work on is taking initiative this is about going beyond your comfortably level and participating in bigger projects. This can be something as simple as being too afraid to share your opinion. This can seem so simple but can be hard for many people including myself. I can share my opinion with a friend or maybe even a few people but once it's multiple people or people I don't know then it becomes hard for me to express my opinion. Volunteering to represent the group is something else to work on for myself. I don't usually want to be the one to present in a group project. I usually will only if absolutely no one else will. I don't do well with anything when it comes to presenting. Presenting is something that I need to work on because it is a good skill to have when it comes to many different situations.
In the article "how to carve out your lifes passion" by John C Maxwell some points and thoughts I have looked at are give it time. This has meaning to me because not everyone likes to try new things, I include myself in this. I rarely want to try something new let alone something that I don't have step by step directions how to do it, it can be hard to open up and try something new but once you do the experience you find may be great, you may even end up finding a new passion. Try something and then give yourself time to think about the pros and cons of what the new was and see if you would do it/try it again. The second is define success for youself. Every single persons definiton of success can be different from the next person, what myself and others need to realize is that just because what you did wasn't a big deal to someone else does not mean that you can't consider it one of the most successful things you have done. You make up your own definiton of success and make yourself proud, you need to be able to know you're successfel with something small so you can begin to work on your next big success.
"The difference between winning and losing is most often not quitting". In life it is often easier to quit rather then to keep on struggling. It's easier to try and then quit rather then to keep trying until you get to the point where you need to be. A time where I keep trying and still continue to keep trying is in a relationship with my dad. We used to be super close and now we barley talk, however I always try to put in effort and try to ask him how he is doing. This way I can at least say that tried. I often want to give up when he doesn't put in as much effort as I do, however I always will continue to put in my best effort with him. Yes, it has been easier to say that I quit but I always keep trying. It's always best to try rather than to give up instantly. Giving up doesn't teach you anything or give you a lesson, it may actually cause regrets. Just continue to try at no matter what it is, this way you can always know yourself that you personally did all that you could.
One of the many things I have done in Michigan that you can do is been apple picking. My two favorite orchards I have been to are Blake's and Yates. My favorite part about this was of course picking apples but I also love to hangout with family and friends. I feel like this is a fun time and a great experience! I have also been to the Detroit Zoo, I have been here multiple times and I love it! I love getting to see the animals, taking cute pictures and seeing peacocks because I love their pretty colors. I love making a day out of it with family and friends. It's a great experience and you don't have to go to far to enjoy it! I have been up north multiple times and stayed in multiple different places. Once, I got to spend a few days in the Upper Peninsula. While I am there I always love going to the beaches, going tubing, I once went on a boat. When I got up north I love the fact most of all that I do it with my best friend.
