In my opinion it's very important to be a positive role model. Growing up I was lucky to have a certain few people over the bad that I learned from. It's important to have positive influences your entire life not just through parts. You learn important things from day one. The more positive influence you have throughout your life the better. If you want a good attitude back to yourself you have to give one off. Being emotionally aware is important because you may be a sensitive person but you can't sit there and cry at work. You have to learn to take criticism and know that everyone has bad days but you have to do your best to not let it affect you. You have to realize that everyone has their own points and accept that. Be passionate about your work. Chances are if you don't like your job no matter how hard you try to enjoy it others will be able to tell you don't enjoy your job. When you truly love your job it's best to show your dedication and show everyone that you are proud to do what you do.
"You you cannot change your destination overnight but, you can change your direction overnight". This affects me now because maybe when I get stressed about how I want everything to be okay but then often the next day or even few days I feel upset that it hasn't changed. Sometimes I want to be somewhere in the future and I like to believe that everything will be going okay and smooth. However what I have to think about is what I do now is what is going to affect my future and make my future how I want it to be. This affects me in the future because as an adult I will have to learn how to take things a step at a time, from collage to getting a job and then going on with the rest of my future, I have to think about how I can work on things overnight but I can't change it all to be perfect that night also. Something that is important to me is getting to a place in life and being able to say that I am satisfied with where I am and that I want to be in that place. I just want to be able to tell myself that if something needs fixed I can change it over time.
The article I'm doing is "You are more than the mistakes you've made". Mistakes happen to all of us however it is up to us whether we choose to hold on to them or do our best to acknowledge what happened, learn from it and move on the best we can. Everyone makes mistakes their entire lives it can be the simplest thing or the biggest, however all the good and bad take apart in making you who you are today. I think that many people including myself take mistakes that have happened have to define who we are today, but they don't.. Learn from what you did and make that a lesson, don't hold onto it has a burden. There's no reason. I see this as true because many people except pity for what happened and want everyone to feel bad because they can't forget what happened. But, the thing is you can. Just move on, tell people your story and how you have improved your life. I can see how this will help me look forward and improve on my future I will no longer be so upset with myself for messing up, I'll give myself time to move on but then I will just look forward to my future and keep my past as a lesson learned.
