This week the kids have been extra hyper, but I have still had wonderful experiences. I have continued doing calendar with the kids, and I'm glad to say that the kids have settled down when I do calendar. I've also continued to help with centers, we do math centers everyday and some days when I stay later I get to help out with their word work. My favorite is usually the morning when I walk around in the mornings and checking bell work, I get random hugs and it really brightens my day. The kids are so sweet and I'm really going to miss them. It's always so cute when they do their math or go noodle videos, they get so excited and their all dancing around and singing. Lastly, Ms.C has told me I can tell the kids to move their clips up or down, it can be tricky at times but I definitely think it helps them to be on their best behavior!
I am continuing to enjoy my internship as not only do I get to do much more but I get more hugs and even a few I love yous. I'm learning more about the career and each individual student, I've even developed a closer relationship with the teacher as on prep she shares stories about her career and old high school experiences. This week I continued to help with morning work, prep and centers. However, I have also taken over calendar which is such an important part of their day! I hung up the bulletin board, made copies, and laminated. But most important of all I've learned how hyper the kids could be, but also how excited they get when they understand a subject or find a new way of doing things. I'm sad that my time is going by so quickly but I am definitely glad I have this experience.
